Strategic location

Strategic location is the centerpiece of CTP’s development strategy. We chose to anchor operations in the Czech Republic for the same reasons as our clients—the mix of strategic location at the heart of Europe, a well educated workforce, long industrial tradition, modern infrastructure and overall cost-effectiveness make it the business-smart choice for a wide range of operations.

The Czech Republic continues to attract increasing volumes of investment in higher-value-added operations in core sectors such as high-tech manufacturing, R&D, and automotive assembly and supply. There is a growing trend among companies active in advanced areas such as IT, biotechnology, nanotechnology and robotics to locate cutting-edge operations in the Czech Republic. The regional centres of Brno, Ostrava and Plzeň, in particular, are leading the way, with several world-class applied R&D and innovation clusters established in cooperation with local universities and state-funded research institutes.

The Czech Republic’s strategic position at the crossroads of Europe and modern transport links make it the ideal location for cross-border supply chains and large-scale distribution hubs. The Czech Republic is a prime beneficiary of the increasingly interconnected trade activity across Europe, and with Europe’s largest economy, Germany, in particular. The Czech Republic boasts a highly educated workforce that is particularly strong in IT, engineering, applied sciences, life sciences and foreign languages. The country is home to 26 state universities and numerous private colleges, with nearly 400,000 students enrolled, and over 80,000 students studying for technical degrees. Excellence in higher education is not restricted to Prague, as there are top-rated universities in several regional cities, including Brno, Ostrava and Plzeň

CTP carefully plans land acquisitions based on our keen market knowledge in all CEE countries. We have dedicated staff in each country which continually seek an adequate land bank either adjacent to an existing park or, based on client demand, in locations where our clients want to be. Our ability to work across all CEE markets in providing strategically located business parks is an added value to our clients who may be looking to expand in a market where they alrady have a presence, or who are looking for an additional location in another CEE country.
