Construction Controller

To support our growing activities, we are looking for a motivated young professional for the position of Controller with a focus on construction to strengthen our Slovak controlling team with a focus on reporting and analysis of construction projects.

The successful candidate is an independent individual who is constantly looking for improvements and is able to work both independently and in a team. He/she has a methodical approach, is an expert in Excel, understands financial and accounting data, is detail oriented, can communicate with various teams and translate data into financial reports.

The position is ideal for someone who is looking for a degree of autonomy and wants to make a significant impact in a dy-namic environment.

Requirements / Prerequisites for the position:

• 2-3 years of experience in a similar position
• Experience in construction controlling and construction budgeting
• Fluency in English
• MS Excel – expert
• Motivated, non-conflicted, organized type with numerical skills
• Focus on detail, accuracy, work outcome and problem solving
• Consistency, independence, systematic, accountability, meeting deadlines

Job Responsibilities:

• Supporting project managers in the preparation of construction budgets by evaluating cost estimates against available documentation at various stages of projects, standard unit prices of completed projects, bid prices of recently completed projects
• Supporting the property manager in the preparation of operating budgets by evaluating the estimated costs according to the available documentation
• Checking and analysing budget execution and reconciling it with the accounts
• Supporting the allocation of re-invoicing
• Supporting the monthly and final reconciliation of accounts
• Preparation and analysis of key project/company KPIs and reports
• Working closely with the construction director, property manager, accounting and legal team
• Working with the group control team to reconcile and align KPI data, reports and methodology
• Contributing to changes to the reporting agenda in relation to the implementation of the new ERP
• Creating and maintaining a standard database of work
