CTP Group Project Manager

CTP seeks highly skilled Project Manager for the CTP Group. This is a newly established position, based in Amsterdam, as part of the newly formed Group Construction, Design & Procurement department.

The Project Manager will be part of the newly formed Group Construction, Design & Procurement department, which is there to oversee all company development projects across the region, to be in line with approved budgets, schedules, project plans and specifications.

The purpose of the job

Oversee and support local project teams to ensure appropriate preparation, planning and execution of projects to ensure they are completed in an accurate and timely manner, within budget and according to CTP quality standards. Execute independent project audits in order maintain project compliance to the CTP processes and standards. Supporting at Group and Country level the creation and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives relating to CAPEX, process and design.

The Project Manager will report to the Group Head of Construction, Design & Procurement.

Tasks:

  • Provides support to local project teams, particularly in CTP start-up countries, with preparation for the execution of construction projects, which includes collaboration external partners, manage delivery of design documents, arrange required permits, tendering and contracting of suppliers.
  • Conducts regular full project audits to review overall project performance in terms of financial, timely delivery and quality of product according to CTP standards. Audits will also include analysis of selection and contracting of external partners.
  • Prepare and execute on-site technical visits to verify compliance to CTP specifications and quality standards.
  • Reviews tender results, budget preparations and costs spending monitoring in different phases of a project and evaluates project closing documents. Consolidates individual project financial data to project reports in order to allow for cost benchmarking and cost comparison.
  • Identifies opportunities for design improvements, to be included in the CTP White Book, and procurement opportunities for group sourced commodities.
  • Consolidates project status reports on Time, Budget, Project Information, Quality and achieved results to the Head of Construction, Design & Procurement.
  • Performs full evaluation of completed projects, including financial closing report, evaluation of cooperation with external partners and lessons learned in order to support best practice sharing across the countries.
  • For new locations – reviews the preparation of pre-development studies and budgets, including results of due diligence carried; all to consider whether project is worth to develop / land worth to purchase.
  • Facilitates the roll out of new international suppliers for specific commodities including technical instructions, new technical solutions and guidelines.
  • Coaches country construction teams, shares cross country best practices and ensures continuous information sharing and communication with relevant internal and external parties.
  • Establishes and maintains professional working relationships with architects, engineers, subcontractors / suppliers;

Professional and personal competences:

  • Minimum qualification includes master degree in civil engineering, construction management and minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Focused and able to manage large design portfolio of projects with strict adherence to design standards, in a fast-paced environment
  • Additional relevant technical skills; data analyst, math skills, team player,
  • Perfect written and spoken English; excellent communication skills
  • Looking for hard-working, hands-on person; trouble shooter; innovator
