Group Head of Procurement CEE

CTP is looking for Group Head of Procurement, to be based in Prague, but travelling throughout the region.

CTP seeks highly skilled Group Head of Procurement.

The total construction volume of the Group is estimated to be between 250 – 300mio EUR, with focus on industrial / warehouse properties, but also office.

The Group Head of Procurement reports to CEO.

Responsibilities:

Planning: 

  • Participating in formulating the company’s future direction and supporting tactical initiatives
  • Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
  • Develop procurement strategies and evaluate consequences
  • Manage the procurement processes
  • Monitor technological or economic changes that will impact the business, communicate to Group and offer solutions

Operations:

Purchases goods or services for the Employer to use or sell. Ensures Employer obtains quality products for competitive prices in a timely fashion. Plays an integral role in ensuring a company sticks to budgets and operates profitability.

The particular job includes

  • Monitors business trends and product  availability to pay the best price for company goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times
  • Nurtures relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices
  • Find a perfect balance between investment costs per sq. m, operating costs, maintenance and repair costs for properties to function for period of 50 years at least
  • Have a full understanding of the CTP White Book specification and continuously work with suppliers, clients, colleagues – in particular CTPs in-house design team – to optimize the specification and improve the standards
  • Create budgets; the controlling team will support keeping overviews of open budgets and spending’s so far
  • Organize tenders – mainly for deliveries of construction materials but also other / indirect commodities / supplies; gathers offers from various suppliers, do bid comparisons and further negotiate with the suppliers in order to get best possible rates
  • Actively cooperate with other colleagues from purchase department, project managers and colleagues from business development
  • In addition to the base specification to develop design for modifications requested by the Tenant, in order to find suitable technical solutions
  • Others related to procurement

Skills:

  • Minimum qualification includes civil engineer / construction management or procurement background degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including leadership and supervisory roles
  • Focussed, and able to manage large portfolio of projects with strict adherence to budgets and deadlines, in a fast-paced environment
  • Additional relevant technical skills; data analyst, math skills, good negotiator, management skills – team player, mentor
  • Perfect written and spoken English; excellent communication skills
  • Looking for hard-working, hands-on person; trouble shooter; innovator
