Head of Design and Development Team

CTP is looking for experienced and professional Head of Design Team, colleague with strong self-motivation who will be happy to join the team. Head of Design Team is based in Prague but is active and involved in projects throughout the entire CTPs portfolio in CEE. Is leading the team of designers.

The Head of Design and Development Team is involved in following:

Involvement in pre-construction phase

 While new development site / land identified, the Employee is involved in carrying technical due diligence for the land, in cooperation with external companies, presenting findings and taking these into account while doing return calculations and development studies

  • Based on the due diligence it is decided whether the site is suitable for CTPs developments
  • Preparation of development study together with colleagues from business development and other design team members
  • Preparation of return calculation together with Head of procurement department and business development team

Involvement in Design

Coordination of preparation of project documentation in all phases – for planning permit, building permit and tender documentation – this in cooperation with the in-house design team and/or external engineers / designers, but also in close cooperation with the client / tenant / future user of the property in order to make sure the property is designed in line with the clients‘ requirements. At the same time, the documentation needs to be in line with the CTP White Book, the standard CTPs building specification.

Support to procurement, whereby the Employee is:

  • doing preliminary design / analysis of design, including design review & optimizations and innovations
  • involved in tender process, in close cooperation with the procurement team
  • actively searching for improvements in order to reduce costs for buying building materials and constructing the properties, as well as operating costs
  • checking compliance with project offers documentation, evaluation of incoming offers

 – In addition to the above, the Employee will carry out on-site audits, on ad-hoc basis, to check whether construction works have been carried out in line with the agreed specification and in good quality.

– Clients studies – smart business layouts for the existing or new properties

– Decision of logos and navigation systems placements

– Proposal for disposition and architectural changes in the projects, based on project managers request

– Communication with suppliers of construction works and materials during projects realization

– Close cooperation with design team members, project managers and procurement team when it comes to considering alternative materials and new suppliers

The Employee is responsible for:

 – Architectonical supervision – checking if the White Book standards are fulfilled

– CTP White Book administration and improvements / up-grade

– Quality of technical solutions, to be in line with top / state-of-the-art trends, in line with latest technology

– Conformity of concepts with CTP standards, considering the demand on price, maintenance, quality and sustainability

– Confirms tender and realization documentation /O.S. 1100, 3000, 4000 (7000, 7500)

 Requirements:

  • Relevant degree of qualification – university degree in civil engineering, architecture, or similar
  • Relevant technical skills
  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience at the project manager position, experience with design of industrial / an or office buildings
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Team player with individual proactive approach and good communication skills
  • Strong self-management skills to ensure time issues of project deliveries; ability to work hard and independently
