CTP continues to support the workforce market from the Bucharest suburbs

CTP is continuing its social responsibility program dedicated to supporting the good development of the workforce market near its parks from the Western part of Bucharest.

Approximately 350 11th and 12th grade students of Dimitrie Bolintineanu and Pamfil Șeicaru high schools, participated in the second phase of the project, together with 9 of CTP’s biggest clients in Romania. The first phase of the project took place in November 2017 and it involved 150 students and 7 major companies in CTPark Bucharest and CTPark Bucharest West.

This project was created in order to support companies that operate in CTP’s parks to meet potential employees, thus showing students from the near-by high schools the solid opportunities they have in finding good jobs close to home. The second stage of this project consisted in twoactivities. The first activity took place mid-April at Dimitrie Bolintineanu High-School in Bolintin Vale, and expanded over a 3 day period. Representatives from Quehenberger, KLG, DB Schenker, NOD (Network One Distribution), Studio Moderna and Ekol Logistics met with approximately 300 12th grade students. Each representative presented for onehour information about their companies, the development opportunities inside their companies, specific details regarding their activity, ending the sessions by with answering the student’s questions.

The second part of this stage of the project consisted in warehouse visits from 40 11th and 12th grade students of Pamfil Șeicaru high school, located in Ciorogarla. Ekol Logistics, Quehenberber, Gefco, Iron Mountain, Raben, KLG, DB Schenker, NOD opened their warehouses to show students how their activity unfolds, providing useful information about their companies, career opportunities, work environment and other details. The representatives of each of the 8 companies also discussed their professional development programs they offer to their employees.

Dimitrie Bolintineanu high school also participated in the first stage of the project, when 150 youngsters visited several warehouses from CTPark Bucharest and CTPark Bucharest West in November. At that moment, they were shown various practical aspects of working in an industrial and logistics park. Now, they were given the chance to hold more detailed discussions with the representatives of 6 major corporations from CTP parks.

„We are very glad that our company joined this program. Thus, we had the opportunity to meet with students that seemed extremely interested in our work and we are hopeful that, at least a few of them, will become our employees in the future, considering our increasing need for warehouse personnel. We are confident that these visits and discussions will not remain without effect, and that the students realized that they have great opportunities for building a strong career in Romania, close to their homes”, stated Diana Lacrateanu, HR Manager for Quehenberger.

“Our students came back with a lot of optimism from these visits. We strive to give them the best education and we worry about the difficulties they might face when they will start to look for a job. I strongly support this initiative because it provides good opportunities to develop professionally in Romania within major corporations, just near their homes”, added Stefan Alexandru Cernat, High-School Principal of Pamfil Șeicaru.

“We successfully concluded the second phase of our social program and we are very grateful for the positive feedback and the overall support that we received from our clients, school principals, teachers and students. CTP’s main purposes are supporting our tenants and their development in our parks and also creating a good relationship with our local communities by providing good opportunities for the local work force. I think that supporting the young people to find jobs is one of the best ways to achieve both goals”, concluded Iulia Bușcă, Commercial and Business Development Manager at CTP Romania.
